From time to time in a Blackboard course you may want to create a folder or item within a folder but then not make it available for viewing. You can hide any assignment or course document from view through the Control Panel. When the Control Panel screen appears, choose the area that you want to modify, "Assignments," for example. If you want to hide all documents ("items") in a folder, click on "modify" beside the folder name and then use your mouse to select the radio button "No" beside the prompt "Do you want to make the folder visible."
If you want to hide only a document ("item") inside a folder, click on the folder name and then click the "modify" button beside the name of an item that you want to hide. Then use your mouse to select the radio button "No" beside the prompt "Do you want to make the content visible."
If you have made a quiz (assessment) available to students and have set a time limit on when the quiz will be available, you may need to make that quiz available for students to take at a later date. To give students this ability, use the Control Panel to enter the course area where you have placed a link to the quiz when you made the quiz available throught the Assessment Manager. Click on the "modify" button beside the name of the quiz and change the availability date. If you have deleted the link to the quiz, you will be unable to create this link again even though the quiz grades are still available in the grades spreadsheet as long as the quiz is still available in the Assessment Manager.
