How to Copy from One Blackboard Course to Another
You can copy assignments, items, or external links from one of your Blackboard 6 courses to another through the "Course Copy" feature of the Control Panel. (To copy a quiz from one course to another, you must first copy the quiz questions into a pool through the Pool Manager, then export the pool by saving it to your computer. You will then import the pool to another course then draw questions from that pool to create a new quiz. See for more information.) For example, you may have an external link in one section of one course and wish to copy it to another section. Please follow these steps:
  1. Get into the course that you want to copy FROM (the one where the links are)
  2. Go to the control panel and click copy course (bottom of the screen in the course options section)
  3. Click on the link "Copy course materials into an existing course"
  4. Beside the destination course id either type the course number (i.e. 05-01-CIS111-N01) or click the browse button and select the course from the list, You are selecting where you want the information to be copied to.
  5. Under "Select course materials" pick which material you want to copy.
  6. Once you have finished selecting the material, click "Submit."

It is important to wait for the email to arrive saying the material was copied successfully. The material will appear in your course before the email arrives but if you manipulate it before the complete copy process is complete, you can cause errors.
